OWA: Content Is Displayed as a Box with a Red "X" in Messages That You Send by Using Outlook Web Access
Solution
The problem with content being displayed as a box with a red "X" in messages that you send by using outlook web access can be resolved by following the steps in the following Microsoft help page:

Alternatively, please follow these steps:
1) Login to Outlook Web Access, and then click on "Options" (on the left bottom side).
2) Under E-mail Security, click on "Download".
3) Follow the instructions on the screen to install the S/MIME Control on your computer.
4) When you try to create/reply to the message please install the necessary components by clicking the "Information bar" which will appear below the address bar.

Restart Internet Explorer
If you are unable to follow the above instructions, you can select "Basic" mode instead of "Premium" on the OWA logon page. Please reply to this email if you require further assistance. This will automatically re-open the ticket.
