Client computer unable to access an FTP site through ISA Server
Client computer unable to access an FTP site through ISA Server
Solution
Following the
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925880
please access FTP sites by using the following format:
ftp://User_Name:Password@FTP_Server
The best way is to create shortcut to the FTP sites which you're often using by doing the following:
On Windows XP:
1) Open Start -> My Network Places
2) Click on "Add a Network Place" and click NEXT
3) Click NEXT again and in the "Internet or network address" field type FTP address using the format - ftp://User_Name:Password@FTP_Server, and click NEXT
4) Change the name of the shortcut if you want to and click NEXT
5) Click FINISH.
Shortcut with the selected name will be created and you will be able to access FTP site and work with FTP folders as you normally do with Windows Folders (copy, paste, etc.)
